Open to: Students who will be taking Precalculus or Calculus in the fall
August 19-23, 2019
Session I: 9am-12pm (lunch 12:00-12:30)
Are you planning to take precalculus or calculus in the fall? Do you want to hit the ground running when class begins? Do you need a refresher of what you learned last year? Students answering yes to any of these questions will benefit from this one-week preparatory session. This class will strengthen algebraic skills and reinforce fluency with the foundational functions of calculus. Topics include rational exponents and functions, trigonometry, logarithms and exponential functions, advanced factoring, complex fractions, and more. The small class size allows for individual instruction and hands-on activities. Classes consist of presentations by the teacher followed by problem-solving individually and as a group.
All materials and lunch will be provided.
